My wife likes modern looking home decor. I have more of an antique / steam punk gothic taste. I was skeptical when my wife asked about getting this light to hang in our breakfast nook. After much back and forth, we decided to give it a try. To be fair, it looks pretty nice, with its brass/gold finish and clear glass shade. It may be a little too modern for my tastes, but the brass/gold finish does have a certain appeal and given that the brass/gold surfaces have a burnished quality, the more the better. The hight is adjustable, so I can adjust the height of the light when needed. Given that it is in my breakfast nook, and the need to move the furniture around on occasion, its adjustability helps reduce the possibility of bumping my head on it. Installation is quite easy, and it uses a normal E26 bulb. I found one of my kitchen light controls is dimmable, so that is an added bonus. Great.

So I received one to review but I bought the other one with my own money. I chose this because it looked like a perfect match for our brass toned cabinet hardware. It's a good balance of brass and gold. The hanging cord is a braided heavyweight type cord which I love. From a distance you can't really tell so I took a close up photo so you can see the detail, and I really loved that look. (Picture was taken right after hanging it up and there's hardly any kinks in the cord). We shortened our cord to 30in (by coiling it inside) but you have plenty to work with here so that was nice. It comes with everything you would need to install the lights, or if your not electrically inclined you can get an electrician to do it. The wattage recommendation was 60 watts but I found that the 25 we putt in is more then enough for the look we wanted. I would definitely recommend these pendant lights. They're good quality and look amazing.
