Five stars for description. It’s a small light fixture, just like the description explains. Value is 3 stars. It’s a cheap feeling plastic fixture that seems overpriced. It’s easy to install. The pictures are more flattering than the fixture in real life. But not like it looks that much different.
A little small and kind of cheap, but it's fine for my closet. Most importantly, this was the first fixture I've ever installed myself, and it was sooo easy. And I'm terrible at everything! It's not as bright as I'd like and since it doesn't take bulbs I don't knwo what happens when it dies but I suspect it will be a long time before I have to deal with that.
I have replace many lights over the years and this one is nice and simple. The modern upgrade was just what the room needed. It is much brighter too so that is really good. The price is about average so as long as it lasts a long time and I don't have to replace a bulb it will be worth it.
I got this light to match another light fixture. My other light is black on the outside and gold on the inside. When I opened this product, I was disappointed. It's not gold at all. It's only black. Also, I didn't realize how small it was. Nowhere in the description does it say it's 8 inches. Maybe I missed it, I'm not sure. It's 100% plastic and only black, not black and gold as it appears to be in the photos. Very small and cheaply made. Disappointing.
We have a small walk through laundry room which had an old ceiling light that was still using bulbs. I don't use bulbs anywhere else in the house so it's a pain to get them just for the light. This is the perfect solution. It uses a led panel and no longer need to use bulbs! It looks nice and modern. It was very simple to install and I would say it's worth $40. The room is a small square so it's bright enough for me. Anything larger, I don't think will be bright enough. The light is a bright white, and I didn't see anywhere that you can adjust to different types of light. Overall, good for small laundry room or hallway light if you have multiple down the hall.
Color temp is good, as is size for the closet I put it in. But while I saw it was about 8", I think my head just didn't process how small that is when installed on the ceiling. So measure your space. Also, it's sorta cheap looking...I ordered the 'black' version, which in the picture appears as if the inside is a gold color, much like the gold version. But no, that's not really the color, it is in fact all black. I guess the gold was the representation of the light coming out turning the cheap black into a golden look...honestly it's probably just lazy photoshopping on the manufacturer's part. So -2 stars for misrepresentation.
