Well packaged, unlikely to break in transit. The glass globe is finely milled and thick, with a soft uniform frosting. The profile is perfect, extending slightly into the room space from a subtle thick metal base. The mounting holes are standard width. There are no mounting instructions or hardware included, but installation requires no more than very basic handyperson skills. Wiring is ready to connect to your box with twist connectors. I plan to buy another unit for the kitchen. Highly recommended.
I got this to replace an existing light in the ceiling as you enter the front door. The old one was showing it's age and it was time for a replacement. This is really well made and the fit and finish on everything was top notch. Installation was easy and everything went together as it should. Amazing how something so minor as changing out a light can improve the looks of the entranceway of the house. Comes with mounting hardware. Overall, I like this. I think it's a good deal and I'm glad I got it.
