I am using them in a breezeway that is enclosed, connecting the garage to the house. Love they way they look. I have had them for a few months.
It is a unique light with a warm glow. I like the frosted glass so you don't see a bare bulb. It is a modern touch but fits with a traditional style. We hung the light above the kitchen sink. It reflects off the wall casting an interesting, faceted glow. It is a great size. Our kitchen is painted gray with white cabinets, black and silver granite, stainless appliances so the color of this light compliments the room well.
Love this Moravian Star pendant lamp! I got the 12" and it is perfect for a window display. It was a bit tricky to figure out where it opens to put the bulb (you have to use the smaller refrigerator size bulbs), but that's actually a good thing because it blends in. Note that the cord isn't wrapped in fabric, which I think would look much nicer and higher quality. But otherwise, I recommend.

This is such a beautiful light! I've wanted one of these for a long time but always thought they were too expensive. This one is affordable and so pretty! It is three pounds, so be sure you have a sturdy place to mount it.

This is a beautiful star! The textured glass is an excellent feature softening all the lines that show on clear glass (which is also beautiful- depends on your style) the only thing is It is a small pendant though - I personally couldn't use it over the entryway like the picture because the 12 in is just not big enough to command a high space (for any light), but I would definitely recommend it for a stunning look over a kitchen island, or a table, or a bar or in a smaller hallway.

Would this make a good reading light?
havent hung yet. however had one at a previous home and would say not for reading (unless you have very good "night" vision or reading in limited light.

Can this take a bulb higher than 40 watts?
The manufacturer rates it for 40 watt bulb.
Is this big enough for an average-sized bedroom?
We have a high lumen led lightbulb in it and it’s in our little kitchen nook and even so it’s not super bright. I personally would want more light but if you have a lamp or two in the room it could work.
What kind of light bulb is recommended
The base E26 bulb is ok.
Can this be plugged into a wall outlet or is it for hard wiring only?
This one is hard wired, but you can find them on here with a plug. The first time I ordered I didn't realize there was a difference, but you can read the description in the light fixture you like to determine which one works for you. :)
Can you.use is on a coveted outside entryway?
The light itself is not waterproof, kindly make sure it is used in dry locations.
Can someone link to or summarize the installation directions?
We have a easy installation diagram inside the box. There is a small door opening on the one side of the star, so open that to put in or replace the bulb.
