Very pleased with product but beware, the Amazon site indicates that NALAKUVARA Edison bulbs are frequently bought with this product. Not sure why that would be the case as they do not fit and you would have to read the fine print to discover that. So just dont make a logical assumption and click to fast.
This is an affordable and attractive fixture. I would be weary of the type of bull you use (led vs edison), since you have to unscrew all of the tiny screws at the base of the cage to change a bulb (which is a pain, but if you have a long lasting bulb in there, it's worth the rare effort if you like the look). This is not the reason for a 4 out of 5 rating, since I absolutely should habe anticipated that. My only reason for taking off a star is that the mount that it comes with to attach it to the wall or ceiling is difficult to orient correctly. Other than the difficult install, quality product
It will be nice to stand under this light fixture in the winter, as there is warm glow emanating from it. Each lightbulb is cased in a wire cover with about eight screws, so changing the lightbulb is good by to be a pain. However, it's a unique piece!
Each cage around each light bulb takes SEVERAL screws. 1 bulb out, prepare to take several minutes to take cage off first. Great look.
The light is nice, but getting the bulbs in is a pain. You have to unscrew 7 bolts for each light and then line them all back up, probably took me 20 minutes to put in the 4 bulbs.
Very cool looking, but installing the bulbs was not fun and I dread when one goes out. But, I guess looking at the design I should have realized that before purchasing. The look is exactly what we wanted so... pick your battles!
I absolutely loved this fixture. Very well made. Unfortunately it would not fit in the space I wanted to have a light. I returned it and the return process was very easy and received my refund promptly great customer service

First check to make sure all pieces and parts are there. I was missing a brass nut. Amazon couldn't not replace the part but did offer a 10% discount. With that said, I love the look of this! It's eye catching.Installation tips: Put lights and cages on before hanging. Use LED bulbs as they are gong to be a PITA to change! Don't forget to look for all your brass nuts.
Assembling this is a pain, but the resulting fixture makes up for it. If you want a vintage look in a close-to-ceiling fixture, these and a set of Edison bulbs are excellent.

It has been awhile, but to my memory it does have a bracket that mounts to your existing ceiling mounted box.

After installation, there is approximately 4" of clearance from the ceiling to the fixture.

Hello, Lolo G. Just went and measured and the answer is a "no" on the 12 inches. The diameter; (the width across), is about 21 inches. The height; (how far it hangs from the ceiling), is about inches. Hope this helps.

Is this light dimmable
Dimmability is determined by the bulb you put into the fixture and the switch that you wire the fixture too. If you have a dimming switch that is compatible with a dimmable bulb, then yes.
How do you change the bulbs?
The cages come away from their bases by unscrewing the small brass nuts as seen in the picture. It's not hard at all but there are quite a few of them. I would highly recommend this light fixture. It is very nice for the price.
