This is the second one of these we've gotten, same product design, but a different reseller (unsure if different factories producing the same design or just different resellers using different packaging) We just like this Elven forest design, and wanted all the outdoor lights to match. There's nothing to assemble, and the cast aluminum frame is fairly sturdy. Sturdier than the typical cheap builder-quality generic wall sconces I see on 75% of homes. This particular one didn't come with an instruction sheet, but there's little instruction necessary, unless you've never installed and wired up a porch light before (and then maybe just research the topic in general or call an electrician). We've had zero problems with the fixture so far, it hasn't discolored or corroded, the inside is fairly well sealed, but has a drain hole in the bottom, so if any water has gotten in, it's left just as quick. No gaps for spiders to cobweb the insides, or for moths and beetles to trap themselves and slowly pile up their bodies inside, which is nice. Two knurled nuts hold the bottom half to the top cover, making it easy to take off and change the bulb. Speaking of bulbs, this fixture has more room inside than many I've seen, allowing a wider range of bulb shapes than plain old A-series. I like the look of some of those Edison "vintage" reproduction bulbs in this, an ST18, or T series (tube shaped with a standard screw base), anything that's less than 7" long. The only complaint I would have would be don't use the screws that come with it to mount it. They're aluminum. They strip easy, break easy, just not worth the hassle when you probably have a couple screws of the right size in a junk drawer. Use stainless or galvanized so they don't rust. It's not a big enough issue for me to even take a star away for it, I like the design and build quality of the rest of it well enough that I don't care about digging a couple of my own screws out of the garage.
