We love these sconces! The brushed gold is beautiful and were easy to install. Our small condo has no overhead lighting and we didn't want to use up more floor space with more floor lamps so we opted for these. You can wire these into the wall, but we just decided to do the plug in since it was easier. We plugged them into an outlet that is switch-controlled so can't comment on the use of the pull chain. We have one sconce on each side of our couch with a few large frames in between and I think it fills the wall beautifully. It's been over 6 months since we installed these and they are working perfectly. Note that bulbs are NOT included in the package.
These sconces arrived in good shape, but one of them was missing a screw that holds the wall plate to the front plate, thus making us make a trip to the hardware store to purchase a replacement screw so we could finish putting them together. One other thing is that the Amazon website shows the sconces take up to a 60w bulb, but the sconces have a sticker on them that state it takes up to a 40w bulb. Those two reasons are why I'm giving this product a 4-star review...quality control needs to be better. Other than those two reasons, they were easy enough to convert into plug-in sconces (supplies provided) and I'm happy with my purchase. They are nice sconces for the price!
