I absolutely love this hanging light! I selected the green version. The green is a blue/green, so a cool green, yet has a deep intensity to it, and looks great! The hanging hardware is sturdy and the pulley works smoothly. Having a white interior to the shade will add brightness to any bulb you use. The painted finish of the shade is blemish free and high gloss. The hanging hardware has a flat finish. The on/off toggle switch works well. The lamp is not too heavy, yet has enough weight to it so a breeze from the window will not cause it to sway. The is an easy to install lamp too!
My studio is down in my unfinished basement and I needed some extra light but we're in the process of rewiring everything. That left me using plug-in shop lights which are a little too harsh. I saw this plug-in light and thought it might be the perfect solution. It is ridiculously easy to install. It holds a standard light bulb so you can make it as bright or as dark as you want. My big complaint is the power switch is only about 3 ft from the plug and the cord for this is ridiculously long. I guess it makes sense that the on-off switch is about 3 ft from the plug because if you're plugging into a low Outlet it would be right at the appropriate level. My Outlets are all up high so it's a bit of a stretch. The cord on this is also ridiculously long. I should have measured it before I installed it but a good estimate based on the joists put it at about 15 ft.This will work for now but I can't see myself using it once the basement is finished. For someone who loves farmhouse style it would probably be perfect

I actually hung this in my kitchen, which is a long and narrow galley-style space, and it made a huge difference. That back corner by the door was always too dark, and this light brightened it right up. The color adds a subtle farmhouse touch, and it looks great against my wall. Super easy to hang since it just plugs in — no hardwiring needed. The pulley detail gives it a nice industrial look, too. Great quality and perfect for smaller spaces that need a little extra light.
