Why did you pick this product vs others?: I used this to fix a lamp. My wife’s grandfather built years ago had to do some adjustments, but it worked out great. Just need a flaming lightbulb to go in it.
I had a post lamp on the side of my driveway that fell off during some really bad winds. I looked around quite a bit before I went with this one and I’m happy I did. This is beautifully made and looks more expensive than it is. You can install it with our without the post which allows more options on where to place it. It was easy to install and overall I am very happy with this item.
Cast from aluminum, the body of this lamp will not rust. However, the bulk of the hardware holding it together is steel that will corrode and rust over time - it may even react with the aluminum body. The lid was difficult to remove and is held on by two small nuts with rubber washers - the bolts and nuts are brass but lose one in the grass and you have a problem. The size of this lamp is also too small to look good on top of a yard light post - it fits a 3 inch post but just looks too small. With the included surface mount base, it would make a great fence or gate entrance column light. Wire leads are plenty long and the fixture is ETL listed.
This product works perfectly with art deco decor and fits my lamp post well. Good quality and built well.
This popped up in perfect time- we have a lamp post in our front yard next to the driveway, and it was time for it to be replaced (about 20 years ago honestly). So I spent a few hours with a few tools, and got a new post in the ground and threw this one up there. It looks great, it was super easy to install, and it works great. I also love that it can be installed either on a square post or a round post (I installed it on a round post). I would recommend this to anyone looking.
The product itself looks fine and in good condition however I ordered antique brass and received matte black. It now looks like you only have matte black but instead of informing me of that you sent me the wrong color.
This beautiful lamp for post must be hardwired to existing electrical system. It is crafted with a bronze burnished patina. The curved lines are very lovely and reminiscent of Japanese Pagoda styles. The glass is of adequate thickness. Very easy to add or change bulb. Comes with hardware, positive and grounding wires. NOT SOLAR!
I really expected this pole light to be rather small. Nope! This is a large, well made light made to be mounted on a post. I already know where I'm going to mount it! The light is VERY impressive! It comes with good instructions, pictured. It takes a standard based light bulb of your choice. The product listing says "hammered glass". We all know that glas breakes if you hammer it! But it does LOOK hammered, and will look great no matter where you mount it. This is probably a light that needs to installed by a professional. Where ever you put it, you'll need a light switch. Working with 120 volts is dangerous. Best leave this install to professionals! This is a beautifully made large light designed to impress! I really love it!
The antique look is very unique and really stands out. I really love there is an included square base. Many "pole" style lanterns are intended for a round pole and not a square post. No bulb was included. The light also does not sense dawn/dusk so it does not turn on/off automatically.
