If it is the only light in the bathroom I would say no but if you have overhead lights then it should be fine. Overall good light to purchase.
Can it take standard light bulbs?
It can, yes (60w), but it's intended design was to accommodate the Edison bulbs. Using regular 60w bulbs in this fixture, in my opinion, wouldn't have the same esthetic appeal & wouldn't look right.
how hard is it to change the bulb in these? do you have to unscrew the entire cage?
If you choose T10-128 bulbs, you do not need to unscrew the cage.

Any elongated Edison type bulb should work, also cylinder type led work.

The 2 piece screw on retainer that holds the socket and cage in the base is cracked and will not longer hold. Are there replacements parts available?
