These pendants are BEAUTIFUL! I looked far and wide for just the right lights for our new kitchen, finally deciding on these, and they surely didn't disappoint! I bought three of these to hang over our island, and they are just gorgeous. They accent the area perfectly, and so inexpensive!!! You simply can't go wrong with these! The only issue that I have with them is that one of the them is slightly bent where the jute is wrapped and the color of that jute is a bit different than the other two. Still happy and have had MANY compliments on them.

Love these new lights in my kitchen. I bought 3 of them, two over the island counter and one over the sink. I used them in conjunction with the Dolan Lighting Recesso Conversion kit to cover my recessed can lights. I'm very happy with how they turned out. The lights are great quality and came very well secure when delivered.

This product does not come with bulbs. I am using 40 watt.
Can this be used on a covered porch outside? Is glass firmly secured if it was windy?
It should be fine. The glass is thick and all the pieces fit together very securely. It’s a sturdy piece.

It is a dark oil rubbed bronze. I ended up painting them black because I wanted this style, but solid black.

Is it possible to remove the glass pendant, and put a different pendant shade on it, i.e. can I put any standard shade on it instead of the glass?
The glass shade is a separate piece attached to the fixture using a plastic, threaded "nut"-type fitting. Within some size limitations, a different shade could be used but caution should be taken to ensure an adequately strong fit to the fixture and to consider the needed clearance for heat generated from the bulb.

How short can you make the cord?
You can actually shorten the cord all the way t the point where you don't see it. Basically put the rope part of the fixture up against the mounting bracket cover.
