We selected this product to give a mud room a slight nautical theme and warmth (vs recessed lighting), without going over the top on the theme. We replaced 3 non-descript recessed lights with this product in a long hallway. We added Edison-style bulbs and a simple medallion surround to conceal the ceiling space gap left by removing the recessed lighting. We are so happy with the product that we ordered a few more for a separate hallway.
This is exactly what I was looking for my garage to give it a bit of class, but it would look great in any part of the house since we love steampunk and Edison lights.
